Spring Break

Spring Break has come and gone but the pleasant memory of it still lingers on in the hearts and minds of us proud students! Yes, I say "proud" because of weathered the mad frenzy of reading and the sleepless nights of studying frantically for exams and writing papers. Oh, the joy of it all! For the seniors (a shoutout to Alex and Matt), they have the pleasure of writing their thesis - in addition to the mad frenzy of reading, writing papers, and the frantic studying for exams. Hence, spring break was most welcomed and it pains me that the time flew by too quickly. I spent the vacation painting wooden Christmas ornaments (my new hobby), playing on my ipad, and taking rides in my chair. Emily Blume came down for her spring break from Pittsburgh and spent the time bonding with her best friend and cousin Michelle. What delightful young ladies they are! They were escorted by the Honorary Matthew Vicinanzo and my godson Teddy Pince in Matt's cube. My other godson Daniel Vicinanzo came along once with the two girls, Matt, Ted and their friend Dan. Granddad treated us all to dinner at Panera Bread which was a lot of fun! This was the dinner at which Teddy and Danny both declared they thought Granddad would make a great President of the United States and they would vote for him. haha. Perhaps we should hold them to their word! We saw a few of them again a few days later for Aunt Charlotte's birthday party, hosted by the birthday girl herself. Danny had to miss out on that one (due to writing a paper) but a new face was added to the celebration - Carol. Uncle Paul talks incessantly about Carol, even though he has only met her on Skype once. He found out Carol can sing and she became his friend for LIFE. I feel honored to have met the famous Carol!

Feel the love!

Then the boys from Notre Dame came and that's when the party really heated up!

Perhaps this will be the beginning of a beautiful invention

In honor of God's majesty for making the sun set, James (with his melodious voice) led the group in the National Anthem

Relaxing on the job, Guys? Where are the bag pipes?

Robert Blume and his brother Michael came on vacation for spring break to visit their cousins at Ave Maria University along with their other cousin James Heisler and their friend Andrew Hyrcza. Through the hospitality of the Honorary Matthew Vicinanzo driving them into town, they came to visit their Grandparents and aunts. Once again Aunt Charlotte hosted the party and she served a delicious quick and easy dinner of Bubba burgers and baked beans for a Saturday night feast. I persuaded Matt and Robert to start a NCAA basketball pool with some of their male cousins, friends, Granddad, Aunt Charlotte and myself. I LOVE watching the NCAA tournament and betting on it. Watching college hoops is so much fun and reminds me of the days when we went to two Georgetown games at Pitt and another in Washington DC with my Uncle John. Those were the good 'ole days of my youth!
